Iman at Home

New York Fashion Week is in full swing and while there is lots of buzz surrounding the latest designer fashions for Spring 2011, there is also buzz around supermodel-turned-entrepreneur Iman Abdulmajib Bowie. Iman, along with design stylist and consultant Carlos Mota has decorated the VIP Star lounge at Lincoln Center in her new fabric collection. The elegant and exotic print and embroidered fabrics have received rave reviews from both the fashion and interior design communities and its affordable pricing guarantees it will be a favorite with consumers as well. Iman, who already has an established cosmetics line and Global Chic fashion line with HSN, said recently, “Home has become a passion of mine”, so the new fabric collection is a natural extension of her growing empire. I telephoned my friend Stacey who works for Calico Corners and she said the interest in the Iman Home collection has the telephones ringing off the hook! And great news! The collection is available now online and several patterns and colorways perfect for draperies, bedding, and furniture are on sale!
