Zavvi Kids: Story Time

Remember when I told you about the baby boom in my life? Well, one of my favorite gifts to give new mommies with new babies is a miniature suitcase full of my favorite children’s books. Of course I vary the reading selection depending on whether it’s a boy or a girl, but I always mix classic stories with newer ones and over the years I’ve developed a go-to list and I thought I would share it with you. It goes without saying that developing a love for reading at an early age can take children to magical places and allow them to dream big dreams. And who doesn’t want to encourage that?

Wow, you have some classics on your list. As you know children’s literature in a passion of mine. Dr. Seuss happens to be one of my favorite authors. The Little House and The Story of Ping was from back in the day.

When I taught kindergarten, Chicka, Chicka Boom Boom was my favorite. I loved having the children animate the letters.
