Book Creak II

Diane Keaton

Every since I was a little girl, I’ve escaped the hustle and bustle of everyday life into the confines of my whisper-quiet hometown library.

Libraries relax me.

So, of course, no matter where I live I have to carve out a spot for my books and reading. And I love to see how other people live with their books.

Some people peek inside the medicine cabinet, I scan a person’s book collection, afterall what a person reads can tell you alot about who they are and what their interests are at the moment.

Delphine Krakoff

Interior designers are fond of decorating with books and find some interesting and unique ways to display them.

I’m a clutter-free kind of girl, but for some reason I don’t mind when a room is overflowing with books. I’m addicted!

I love the smell of a new book and I love the sound a new book makes when it is opened for the first time…I call it…book creak.

Oh you are a girl after my own heart. It would be a dream come true to have a library space. Love so many of these – several of which I’ve never seen. Wonderful wonderful round up!!

    Q:

My digital files are overflowing with library ideas and, like you, I can not wait to have a huge room devoted only to books.
