The NYFW trend that I noticed immediately was bright color. There was plenty of blue, green and purple across the various collections, but, by far, the dominant color was red. How elegant is the red dress by Chado Ralph Rucci and how bold a print for evening from Duro Olowu? And for the first time on ZR, I am including a beautiful yellow dress from Victoria Beckham who, I believe, it is fair to say, has consistently presented wearable clothes and accessories for the past two seasons. I’ve also included a chic and simple look from the recently launched collection of dual designer, Kelly Wearstler just ’cause we love her and will be paying close attention to how she interprets fashion in upcoming seasons. Basically, I am putting Kelly, as fashion designer, on your radar as someone to watch. Can she match her interior design success in the tougher than tough fashion world?
