30 Americans
My girlfriends and I are planning to attend the hot, new and provocative 30 Americans exhibit at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in a couple of weeks. The exhibit features artistic works by 30 of the most important and sometimes controversial African American artists of the past 30 years and explores the powerful influence of their artistic legacy across generations. The Corcoran has always been dedicated to promoting the next generation of great artists as well as established artists from the past and present, so 30 Americans which features art from contemporaries like Jean-Michel Basquiat, David Hammons, Kehinde Wiley, Mickalene Thomas, Mark Bradford, Glenn Ligon, Kara Walker, Shinique Smith, Hank Willis Thomas, and Iona Rozeal Brown is well worth the $10 price of admission and our support will encourage future thought-provoking exhibitions of this caliber.
