KAREN J. REVIS is a Brooklyn-based artist known for her work in encaustics and mixed media. What I love about Karen’s work is the seeming moodiness, the color strokes and linear textures. I was also excited to learn about an ancient art technique known as encaustic where artists mix pigments with hot wax.
An intriguing artist who seldom grants interviews, Karen’s art is available through Sears Peyton in New York City and Simon Gallery in New Jersey. Her paintings also hang in the Metropolitan Club in Boston and The Venetian in Macau.
