Martin Luther King, Jr

mlk“We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline.”

One thing’s certain Washington, DC could use more leaders like DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR right now.

A brilliant strategist, Dr. King knew how to negotiate with his enemies regardless of their hateful animus and proved through his deeds and eloquent addresses that doing what’s best for the country was all that mattered.

I can’t wait to see One Life: Martin Luther King, Jr at the National Portrait Gallery. The exhibition of photographs, paintings, and memorabilia traces Dr. King’s career, from his rise to prominence as the leader of the civil rights movement to anti-war activist to advocate for those in poverty.
