White House Christmas 2013
Every year I post the WHITE HOUSE Christmas decorations at the request of my aunt and sister-in-law. It’s tradition. They look forward to seeing the various trees and rooms, and I enjoy gathering the images for them.
This year the White House theme is GATHER AROUND — a celebration of coming together with loved ones and the stories of our holiday traditions. The First Lady chose traditional colors of red, blue, green and gold to unify the decorations throughout the White House with special touches like ribbon topiaries of the First Dogs, postcards to American soldiers on trees in the Blue Room and the gingerbread house on display in the State Dining Room. This year close to 100,000 visitors will see the decorations when they visit the White House for holiday celebrations.
