Did you know that the population of African elephants are at their lowest in a generation due to unscrupulous poachers who hunt elephants for their ivory?

I feel so blessed to have experienced elephants up close and personal on over 12 game drives in South Africa and I want others to experience the awe-inspiring majesty of the world’s largest animal too. That’s why I continue to support the World Wildlife Fund and United For Wildlife, and I’m thrilled that Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have taken on a significant role to raise the profile on this issue.

If you haven’t read my On Safari series and want to experience a safari through the eyes of a southern girl committed to adventure you can here: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4 as well as my encounter with a giraffe too.
