At Home with The Obamas

The wait is over! Many of you had hopes that we would get to see the private residence of the Obamas before they left the White House and the images are finally here. Having visited the White House on several occasions and realizing how much smaller the house is in person, I was impressed with the spaciousness of their living quarters and really like the color palette that decorator Michael S. Smith chose using lots of warm rusty browns, greens and yellows and the more modern furnishings fit for a family with two teenage daughters. Some of the rooms we’ve seen glimpses of in photo shoots that the couple has done over the years, but I’d never seen the solarium and it’s my favorite room overall followed by the Obama’s master bedroom. Enjoy!
