In Rotation: Echo

One constant for me during this year-long quarantine has been music. It’s always been a creative escape for me, so I’m always excited when I’m inspired by someone new. KEIKO MATSUI is a jazz pianist and composer who has worked with legendary artists like Stevie Wonder and Miles Davis and, like them, creates drama, tension and timelessness in her music. Keiko says that Echo is about infinite possibilities and during times like these a bit of hope for the future wrapped up in trippy drums, soothing sax, bass, guitar and exquisite piano is just what we all need.

For our listening pleasure during Quarantine, Keiko shared a mini-version of her 2014 Tokyo concert featuring Kirk Whalum and Chuck Loeb. Enjoy!
