Paul Revere Williams

If you’ve ever visited Los Angeles, you’ve no doubt seen a building or two designed by legendary architect Paul Revere Williams. Born in 1894, Mr. Williams attended USC School of Architecture and despite the segregated times in lived in, he opened his firm in 1923 and went on to design over 3000 iconic buildings in his hometown. Lucille Ball, Frank Sinatra and Barron Hilton all commissioned Mr. Williams to design luxury estates for them. He was the first African American to win the AIA Gold Medal.
