White House Christmas 2010

It’s beginning to look alot like Christmas everywhere you go…

…and yesterday the First Lady unveiled this year’s WHITE HOUSE holiday decorations to military families.

I thought you might enjoy a sneak peek at the decorations thanks to the hundreds of volunteers that spend hours each holiday season helping the White House staff prepare for holiday events and celebrations. Take note of the special dedication to First Dog Bo and the annual gingerbread house that is always a marvel to behold.

A really cute sculpture of Bo, the dog takes center stage in a hallway.

A tree dedicated to our heroic men and women around the world.

A nativity scene in the White House East Room.

Ornaments on one of the many Christmas trees throughout the White House.

The white chocolate gingerbread White House showcases the talents of Pastry Chef Bill Yosses and his incredible team.

If I lived in the White House (ha!), I would definitely spend a lot of time in the Library. It’s cozy and the best place to spend a chilly Washington evening next to the fireplace.
