White House Christmas 2011

I’ve had the privilege of visiting the WHITE HOUSE and the Vice President’s Residence at the Naval Observatory during the holidays and the entire experience from the time you pass through the White House gates to the State Dining Room is always magical. When you realize that you’re walking in the footsteps of many great men and women that most of us have studied in school, you feel such wonderment and pride in our nation’s history.

The decorations are spectacular every year thanks to the hard work of volunteers, citizens like you and me, who take time from their busy schedules to decorate the People’s House.

I know several women who decorate every year and this year was special because the First Lady chose a theme of SHINE, GIVE, SHARE which honors military families.
