One Moment In Time

Are you watching the Olympics?

I am so impressed with all the athletes, but especially the young people representing the United States. Their stories, many of them challenging and heartbreaking, and yet, somehow, they’ve overcome all the obstacles put in their path and are representing their country in the Olympics.

How cool is that?

There is something to the fact that young people are idealist and aren’t afraid to dream big dreams. Think about it, most of them have only one shot at achieving an Olympic gold medal, and an older person might consider those odds and say: the heck with it, why work so hard for just one chance? But these young people go for it, and many of them end up standing on the podium listening to the Star-Spangled Banner being played in their honor.

How cool is that?

Needless to say, I’m loving every minute of the Olympics, and it’s inspiring me to be more fearless about achieving everything on my bucket list.

What about you?

Several of you commented on how gorgeous Lucy Liu looked in last week’s Olympic post, so I thought I’d share the rest of that fashion editorial shot by Peter Lindbergh for Harper’s Bazaar.
