The latest epitome of cool in WASHINGTON, DC is a church mural painted by HENSE. The once dilapidated Friendship Baptist Church in Southwest DC has become a source of pride for the neighborhood and is DC’s hottest tourist attraction.
HENSE is a graffiti artist from the streets of Atlanta who is now commissioned for high profile projects around the world. His abstracts bring to mind Jackson Pollock and Willem de Kooning. HENSE works in a very instinctive way, but is never afraid to paint over something because change creates the most interesting aspect of his work.
