ECO-CHIC LIVING is usually not associated with a 14,000 square foot home, but GISELE BUNDCHEN and TOM BRADY have done an excellent job incorporating sustainable style into their Los Angeles mansion. Surprisingly, for its size, their home has a feel of comfort and simplicity that is difficult to achieve when you consider the oversized rooms and extremely high ceilings. But sustainable style was achieved through Gisele’s and Tom’s insistence on the use of recycled stone and wood, salvaged architectural details, solar panels, enhanced insulation, gray water filtration, a fruit + vegetable garden and, yes, even a chicken coop where Gisele’s hens lay eggs everyday earning her the nickname ‘Earth Mother’ from her family and friends.
