Thanks to Esperanza Spalding we’ve been critical listening contemporary jazz guitarist MATTHEW STEVENS and his latest project PREVERBAL — a jazz performance that feels intentional in wanting to move modern jazz in an audacious direction with a sound that is at once raw and beautiful.
