This holiday season we thought we’d share our favorite paintings depicting the birth of Christ from art galleres we’ve visited around the world. This painting of the nativity is actually on view at the Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister in Dresden, but we saw a copy of it at the Palais Rohan in Strasbourg, France. In his work, Correggio focused the candlelight around the Child in Mary’s arms who would lead the world.
