The Time In Between
I’ll be traveling to Spain in a few months, so I’ve been researching the best of Barcelona and Madrid and reading flipping through my favorite Spanish design magazines. I’m really getting excited because there is so much history in Spanish design and architecture, so I know I’ll be in design junkie heaven!
To prepare, a girlfriend suggested that I read The Time In Between by Maria Duenas, so it’s currently on my bedside table for night reading. It’s the story of a gutsy dress designer set during the Spanish Civil War. I don’t read many historical novels, but add fashion, lush descriptions of Madrid, and the undercurrent of female espionage and I’m all in!
