Let’s talk about JENNA LYONS…the doyenne of J Crew and the darling of fashion and design bloggers around the world. I, like everyone else, admire Jenna’s unconventional personal style, but as a B-school grad I have to admit, I respect Jenna more for her business acumen. J Crew is clearly in Jenna’s DNA, but more importantly, Jenna’s DNA is in J Crew.

As the President of J Crew, Jenna has successfully transformed a rather unexciting, preppy brand into a fashion powerhouse that counts Anna Wintour and Michelle Obama as fans.

The story of how Jenna helped to redefine the business model at J Crew is a fascinating one, full of challenges, twists and turns and, if you haven’t already, I encourage you to read her recent profile in Fast Company.
