Juergen Teller’s Washington DC

teller2The White House

There’s so much I love about living in WASHINGTON, DC it’s truly one of America’s most beautiful cities and, of course, its most powerful.

Spring in Washington is celebrated with Japanese cherry blossoms and summer is filled with tourists, but there is a palpable energy and excitement for fresh starts and football games that make fall days my favorite.

Admittedly, Washingtonians can be a bit jaded because we often fail to acknowledge all the history that surrounds us, so when that history can be captured in stunning photographs where the beauty of our nation’s capitol shines through, it’s really special.

Juergen Teller shot this editorial several years ago for W magazine and I’ve always loved how he captured Lily Cole and some of our nation’s most historic monuments.
