Sushi Sora in Tokyo
Sushi-yas, as they’re called in TOKYO, are critiqued quite deftly on a number of criteria based on everything from the freshness and temperature of the fish to the quality of the seasoned rice. We attempted to reserve Michelin’s Sushi Saito, Sushi Yoshitake and Harutaka but they were completely booked during our stay. However, we found a delightful alternative in SUSHI SORA atop the Mandarin Oriental. The chef, Yuji Imaizumi, is highly regarded so we ordered the omakase (chef’s choice) menu and were amazed at the quality of fish, level of service and the stellar views of Tokyo Skytree. We considered ourselves well-versed when it came to sushi, but trust, we learned a great deal. Needless to say, eating sushi in Tokyo spoils you forever.
