Sadaharu Aoki in Tokyo
Like Paris, desserts are MAJOR in Tokyo and one of the best patisseries is SADAHARU AOKI who made a name for himself creating French confections using Japanese flavors like yuzu and green tea. Sadaharu’s green tea eclairs are legendary, however they’re not my favorite pastry, so I sampled his CHOCOLAT PRALINE. The layers of hazelnut dacquoise, praline feuilletine, milk chocolate mousse and chocolate biscuit were just the right amount of fabulous and definitely worth the calorie splurge.
