February Mood

February is BLACK HISTORY MONTH dedicated to celebrating the achievements of African Americans in our great country. If you’re not aware of how African Americans have contributed, plan a visit to the Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, DC, designed by David Adjaye. Once there, I’m certain you’ll be amazed to learn the depth and breadth of African American ingenuity and beneficence. In that spirit, I’m feeling a return to classic All-American style and colors like camel, black, grey, and brown with hints of metallic bronze or gold. I’m also excited about all the artisans and entrepreneurs who are creating in DC like the team at Compass Coffee — making delicious coffee and a really cool place to hang out too. And what would a cold winter’s night be without a bit of jazz courtesy of Nora Jones, so glad she’s back.
