KARA WALKER’s latest provocative project Subtlety of the Marvelous Sugar Baby is THE talk of the town right now. On display at the Domino Sugar Factory in Brooklyn, Subtlety of the Marvelous Sugar Baby is made from 40 tons of sugar and molasses and is an homage to the black women who slaved away in sugar factories to meet the demands of the Western world’s desire for processed sugar.
